Valley Stainless & Alloy, Inc., incorporated in December 2002, is a secondary, prime
and excess prime supplier of stainless steel sheet, coil, flat bar, round bar, angle and aluminum.
Although we are a young company, our staff has a combined industry experience of over five decades.
Located centrally within the N.E. corridor, VSA boasts a spacious, modern 26,000 square foot warehouse
on 2 acres with multiple bays and loading docks, from which we are poised to capture a substantial
portion of the growing stainless steel market. This market has been expanding steadily upward for
many years, not only due to the versatility of this alloy, but it its remarkable range of important
properties. Stainless steel has a high strength-to-weight ratio, is extremely resistant to corrosion,
wear and heat, and is readily formed or welded. It is also beautiful in appearance and is an excellent
environment and maintenance-friendly material.
Stainless steel has a wide variety of applications. It is essential in the construction of all types of
chemical processing applications and its uses are continually broadening in the construction,
automotive, health, environmental and transportation industries. In addition, stainless steel
has increased use in household and restaurant products, and is becoming more evident in
our everyday life in products ranging from kitchen sinks to cutlery. As a result, a steady
supply of quality secondary material is vital to support the expanding growth in this evolving market.
Another area of growth is occurring in the recycling market. The alloys present in basic grades
of stainless steel such as tungsten, molybdenum, cobalt, titanium, and vanadium are used to
meet the toughest demands made by engineers in the chemical, and aerospace industries.
Like nickel and chromium, these metals are costly and occur in limited mine sites around the
world. Therefore, recycling is of great importance in order to keep the cost of steel down.
